The Essence of Magic, Xothen's origins and existence have been widely debated in theological circles for centuries. Since there are no records of It having a mortal life, many believed It's origins are not entirely of this reality. Some say It's existed since Phaet breathed life into the stars, others say Xothen must have existed previous to Phaet in order for Him to use Its powers in creation.
Being a natural force of the universe, the wizard of the stars normally reveals itself to mortals as tiny motes of scarlet energy, but if necessity calls for it Xothen has been known to impose Its will upon the powers It commands to gather into a humanoid form.
Few among the Gods, and even less among mortals, know Xothens reason for revealing itself now, yet the wise are wary, for the powers of this being are widely unknown.
